Know your number

1. Where is my number?

Welcome to VirtualGlobalPhone member club.

You will be receiving virtual number details to your registered email between 1 upto 48 hours based on the number you purchased from.

Make sure you add our email ID's info@virtualglobalphone.com, sales@virtualglobalphone and billing@virtualglobalphone.com to safe list so that email reaches to your inbox directly.


2. How do i change the forwarding number?

You can change the forwarding number from the control panel.

First , Log into control panel at https://cp.virtualglobalphone.com/vup


Login to cp.virtualglobalphone.com/vup

Then, look for "My Profile" --> "FindMe" as shown below. Enter your new number in format of country code and phone number

without any + symbol or 00 digits. Example for USA number 19092659077 for Hong Kong enter 85258086888

Call to your number

1. How to check if number is working?

If you have already received the number then call your VirtualGlobalPhone number or inform your customer / friends or family member to make a local call.

If you still not been able to receive the call on your forwarding number, then use the chat link below or call any of the number above to talk to our engineers. One of us will be happy to guide you.


2. Why incoming call not displaying proper number?

Incoming caller ID is forwarded to your phone of what we received. In any case if you need any assistance please chat with our friendly support team or create a ticket here.


3. Why I am not able to reach my own number?

Do make sure you have provided us the correct forwarding details.

Second - Log into control panel at https://cp.virtualglobalphone.com/vup and check if the details are ok.

If you still continue to have trouble please raise a ticket here.

Call from your number

1. How can i call out from my number?

You can call out using any supported device / app or desktop software which is connected to Internet only.


2. How to configure App / Software?

You can check our step by step guide here for your preferred device / app or software.


3. How do i change the caller ID?

Customers cant change the outgoing Caller ID themselves as per the regulatory restrictions. You must carry the number you purchased only as the CLI.

If you have multiple number purchased with us then follow below steps to choose your preferred CLI.

First , Log into client area at https://cp.virtualglobalphone.com/vup

Login to cp.virtualglobalphone.com/vup

Then, look for "My Profile" --> "Settings" TAB as shown below. Select the number in the list you have purchased. Click SAVE.

Voicemail

1. How to setup?

Numbers are pre-configured to go to default voicemail, if not answered. The recorded file will be sent to your registered email in wav format.

If you want to change the order follow below steps.

look for "My Profile" --> "FindMe".

2. Where is my voicemail?

Voicemail are delivered to your email or you can access by logging into SIP based device / software or app and dial 00*999.

If you want to change to different email follow below steps.

3. How to set my own voicemail greeting?

User can record welcome greetings for voicemail in 2 ways.


1. From our iPhone / Android app.
Open the app and dial 00*999 to get the prompt. Follow the direction and to save the recorded greetings to apply the same.

2. The other way is via desktop.

1. Where to check call details records?

Managing the rest

1. How to add funds to my account?

Funds can be added to your account using your client area at http://my.virtualglobalphone.com/clientarea.php?action=addfunds.

2. How to change the time zone of call detail records?

You can personalise the time zone based on your region.

3. Whatsapp config?

Not all the numbers can be configured for whatsapp. Please refer this LINK to learn more on whatsapp.


4. Incoming SMS / Text?

If your number supports for incoming SMS / Text then the same will be delivered to your registered email in a Staggered manner. In case you are expecting urgent one please chat with our friendly support staff.


5. Outgoing SMS / Text?

You can send TEXT / SMS to another mobile number using our platform. But please note that the receiving party may or may not see your VirtualGlobalPhone number as the sender. Follow these below steps to send.

6. Can i record all incoming and outgoing calls?

If you are looking for all incoming and outgoing calls to be recorded than do send an email to sales@virtualglobalphone.com. Please note : This add-on is charged at 1.95 USD per month additional fee.
