VirtualGlobalPhone Click-to-Call Privacy Notice

Updated on March 13, 2026

Scope

This notice applies specifically to the VirtualGlobalPhone Click-to-Call Chrome extension published by VirtualGlobalPhone. It supplements our broader website and service privacy terms on legal.html.

What the Extension Accesses

The extension scans phone-like text on supported webpages so it can place a click-to-call icon next to detected phone numbers. It also reads the current website hostname when you open the extension popup so you can pause the extension on that site or add it to your allowlist.

What the Extension Stores

The extension stores your configuration in Chrome storage sync, including your Mobyx launch template, fallback country code, minimum and maximum number-length settings, whether text scanning is enabled, whether tel: links are decorated, and any blocked or allowed websites.

What the Extension Does Not Collect

The extension does not create a VirtualGlobalPhone account, does not transmit detected phone numbers or page content to VirtualGlobalPhone servers, does not collect call history, does not use analytics or advertising trackers, and does not sell or share extension data with third parties for advertising purposes.

When Data Leaves Your Browser

The extension launches the Mobyx app only when you click a call icon or submit a manual dial action in the popup or options page. The extension itself does not send the detected phone number to VirtualGlobalPhone servers. If Mobyx or your operating system handles the dial action, that processing is governed by the Mobyx application and your device environment.

Retention and Security

Your extension settings remain in Chrome storage sync until you change them, reset the extension, or remove the extension. We recommend using current browser and operating system updates to help protect locally stored data.

Children and Sensitive Use

The extension is intended for adult business and personal communication workflows. It is not designed for children and should not be used to process sensitive information unless you have independently assessed your own compliance obligations.
